TBE High Holy Day Hunger Drive 2024
This High Holy Day season perform a mitzvah (good deed) and make a contribution to help organizations address the urgent need for food locally, nationally, and internationally. As a result of this annual community-wide fundraiser, we are able to collectively make a substantial contribution to these organizations. Together we can make a difference.
2024 Recipient Organizations:
- TBE Table, a member-driven meal production and distribution program located in the TBE kitchen. Our goal is to produce healthy, delicious meals for those facing food insecurity and to build community while working together towards this important goal.
- Family Table, New England’s largest kosher food pantry, provides healthy, nutritious food on a monthly and emergency basis to individuals and families in need in the Boston area.
- Family Promise Metrowest, a cooperative, interfaith partnership offering hope to homeless families with children through safe transitional shelter, meals and supportive case management as they seek permanent housing.
- Community Servings, a not-for-profit food and nutrition program providing services throughout Massachusetts to individuals and families who are home-bound with an acute life-threatening illness.
- Yad Chessed (“Hand of Loving Kindness”), provides emergency financial assistance to local Jews in need in the Greater Boston area while working to preserve the dignity of each client.
- Mazon, a Jewish Response to Hunger, is a national nonprofit working to end hunger in the United States and Israel through advocacy and partnerships with local organizations.
- Leket Israel, Israel’s National Food Bank and largest food rescue network, strives to alleviate the problem of nutritional insecurity among the growing numbers of Israel’s poor.
The last day to contribute to the drive is Friday, October 25, 2024 (Simchat Torah). Donations received after October 25 will be allocated to TBE Table.
