Hand Bikes for Heroes

Please join Beth El in helping purchase hand bikes for Yitzhak and Elisha, two Israeli reservists injured during the war in Gaza, whom Beth El’s February solidarity mission met at Sheba Hospital. Yitzhak lost use of his legs after being shot by a sniper; Elisha lost both legs above the knee due to a booby trap explosion. As part of their rehab, they are learning to use bikes propelled by hand in order to join other paraplegic veterans who maintain their physical and mental health through hand-bike rides and competitions. It will take $30,000 to buy specialized bikes for Yitzhak and Elisha, and Beth El has agreed to receive the funds that will be used to purchase the bikes and have them shipped directly to these men.
