In the Realm of Repentance: Teshuvah and Transformation

In the Realm of Repentance: Teshuvah and Transformation Repentance (teshuvah) doesn't happen in a day. The power of teshuvah comes with practice. Our ancient rabbis understood this well; that is why they designated the entire Hebrew month of Elul, the month before Rosh Hashanah, to immerse oneself in this complex process that includes various stages: Recognition, Regret, Revelation, Repair, Resolution (or Do Not Repeat) In this three week course we wil immerse ourselves in personally exploring teshuvah through study of ancient and modern texts, group discussion, journal writing, practices of mindfulness and examining how to approach those we've hurt for the sake of repair. Each participant will be expected to practice outside the confines of the classroom, devoting time and energy to this process in the weeks leading up to Rosh Hashanah. Location provided upon registration. Members: $15 per session. Non-members: $20 per session. Full Series Members: $40 Full Series Non-members: $50 Tuesday Nights 7-8:30 PM 9/10, 9/17, 9/24 Registration is limited.
