Spring is here and Passover, our festival of freedom approaches. On this last Shabbat before Pesach, Shabbat Hagadol, we will engage in a rich text study guided by the Hasidic Masters to explore the deeper spiritual meanings of exile and redemption, of love and freedom.
About Rabbi Kaya:
Rabba Kaya is currently the Interim Rabbi of the Rutland Jewish Center, an independent synagogue in Vermont. She is the founder of Rimon: Resource Center for Jewish Spirituality, where she served as Executive Director and Spiritual Leader from 2012–2016. In 2015, she was recognized by The Forward as one of “America’s Most Inspiring Rabbis." As Jewish educator, Rabba Kaya has taught all ages at synagogues throughout the Northeast, Simon’s Rock College of Bard, Isabella Freedman Retreat Center, Limmud UK and Limmud Boston. Her central focus is to reclaim ancient Jewish wisdom for contemporary and practical application. She is dedicated to interfaith work having designed numerous interfaith events throughout the Northeast. Ordained by the Academy for Jewish Religion, she also holds a BA in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work from New York University. She is a Fellow of RWB and a graduate of the Clergy Leadership Program of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. Prior to work in Jewish community, she worked as a clinical social worker and a professional Feng Shui Consultant.
