Never Too Late: B Mitzvah Journey for Life Long Learners
with Rabbi Dianne Cohler-Esses and Hazzan Basya Schechter
Traditionally, one becomes a bat or bar mitzvah at the age of twelve or thirteen. Some of us did not have that opportunity as children and want a second chance. Others of us did have that opportunity, but the B Mitzvah ritual felt rote-- something we did because we were expected to. Never Too Late, Romemu's adult B Mitzvah Journey, prepares participants for a deepened experience of this Jewish rite of passage with fellow spiritual travelers in a one-year program of preparation. In addition, this course gives participants tools for more active synagogue participation and leadership.
