Young Families Membership 2016-2017

BECAUSE EACH FAMILY IS UNIQUE...

We respect each young family’s unique stage in life. Partnering with Holy Blossom through our new Young Families Membership Plan for families whose oldest child is 8 or younger helps balance the needs of your family with support for our congregation.

Based on Terumah — “Gifts from the Heart” — this personalized approach to membership lets each family determine a membership contribution that works for them. And just like all Temple membership contributions, you can make them on a monthly basis and
will receive a full tax receipt.

Please complete this form to join the Holy Blossom Temple community. We look forward to welcoming you!

Our community prides itself on fiscal responsibility. Membership contributions form 54% of our annual revenues – and go a long way in allowing us to continue to operate high-quality programs, engaging worship opportunities, and helping us to create meaningful community.

A sustaining contribution represents the financial contribution per family needed to fund the annual budget. For families for whom a sustaining contribution is too far a stretch, we invite you to consider a Terumah contribution – a contribution from the heart. Many families contribute 2% of their gross income.

Two Adult Family
Approximately 40% of our young family members make a sustaining contribution of $3,225 ($268.75/month). For families like yours who opt to make a Terumah contribution, on average in 2015/16, those with children under 5 contributed $1,185 ($98.75/month), and those with children ages 6-8 contributed $1,595 ($132.92/month).

Single Adult Family

Approximately 40% of our young family members make a sustaining contribution of $1,895 ($157.92/month). For families like yours who opt to make a Terumah contribution, on average in 2015/16, those with children under 5 contributed $620 ($51.67/month), and those with children ages 6-8 contributed $840 ($70/month).

The Youth Engagement Fund

Our Youth Education Centre and Family Programs operate within strict budgets based on participant contributions with some subsidy from the congregation.  We have dreams for more for our children.  Your dreams, and ours – for innovative Youth Education including programming for our Little Blossoms, Day School students, Youth Education Centre students and HBTeen programming, we welcome contributions to our Youth Engagement Fund.
